MED-HIVE represents a re-envisioning of the community resource center already found in piecemeal fashion throughout the Los Angeles. While these centers usually are housed in rented store fronts, or in Parks and Recreation Buildings, a more strategic and improved system of these public resources could be made available in the neighborhoods that need them most, and with a more advanced system of community care integrated into their program as well. Designed as a comprehensive building project to be collection of hybrid community programs, the Expo Med-Hive will primarily exist as a health clinic and medical training hub that will be staffed by juxtaposition of the mass and volume of their monumental building, the city was an accumulation of individual complexes. The city did not follow rules like the modern city grid. Metaphysical Park depicts a surreal realm by applying ancient urban planning logic and bringing rescaled monumental architectures into the current urban context. The combination of familiar architectures across the passage of time shows the extension of meaning, and examines the new relationship of the combination in a new context. These are represented in surrealism artists, especially Giorgio de Chirico. Metaphysical Park brings the conversation from painting into architecture. Inspired by surrealism, Metaphysical Park possesses illogical features like the element of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions, and non-sequiturs to create a surrealist park by rescaling and Fisher Museum Oculus, situated in Los Angeles, is a museum that has undergone renovation. It draws inspiration from a designated precedent, the Hill of Buddha, designed by Tada Ando. The Hill of Buddha was created by exploring elements such as threshold, passage, room, light, space, movement, and other phenomena. It features open and enclosed circulation paths, wide and narrow, straight and circular, distinguished by green space, water, temple, tube, and skylight. Visitors can appreciate the journey by walking along these paths and experiencing different sensations that can lead to a sense of inner peace and reverence. With this inspiration in mind, I modified similar circulation patterns in Oculus, the renovation of the Fisher Museum at the University of Southern California. The focus was on providing visitors with a contrast of circulation experiences.
